Kutch is a culturally and ethnically diverse region in Gujarat. A lot of the communities followed the tradition of passing on oral histories from generation to generation.

But with time, this practice is slowly disappearing. The Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan (KMVS) supported people from different communities to help archive their histories. KMVS gave those who were interested in basic training in audio recording and methods of archiving to help them.
